BULLETIN
Amargosa Valley is heating up over environmental conflicts as the Amargosa River gets named one of Nevada's most endangered waterways and residents push back against both mining claims and new solar development threats to the region. A moderate 3.17 magnitude earthquake struck about 18 kilometers north-northwest of Indian Springs yesterday, though there's no indication of local damage. Today will be mild with highs around 72°F under partly cloudy skies, a pleasant break from the current 91-degree heat.
