Suffolk and Nassau Counties have declared a state of emergency ahead of today's severe storms, with a Flood Watch in effect as showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day with highs near 75°F. A 50-foot yacht was recently rescued from the mouth of Oyster Bay and escorted back to safety as weather conditions deteriorate. The Mets fell to the Braves 10-9 yesterday while the Yankees lost to the Twins 6-1.
